The Trucking Solutions Group held its fifth annual health awareness walk at the Mid America Trucking Show on Thursday evening March 24, 2014. We had another good turnout of folks who wanted to show their support of our efforts to inspire truckers to live a healthier lifestyle.
We took a different approach to the walk this year by starting and ending the walk from Papa John’s Parking lot after the show ended for the day. We took a leisurely stroll over to Churchill Downs raceway, home of the world famous Kentucky Derby horse race. Most folks who park at Papa John’s have no idea that the famous raceway is just a hop, skip and jump from the lot.
Among the luminaries who joined us were FMCSA Administrator Anne Ferro (her second time walking with us) and OOIDA Executive V.P. Todd Spencer.
We paused for a group photo in front of the statue of Barbaro, winner of the 2006 Kentucky Derby that stands in front of the main entrance to the facility before we resumed our walk back to Papa John’s.
A good time was had by all. Thanks to all who continue to support us and our efforts.
