The Trucking Solutions Group held its sixth annual health awareness walk at the Mid America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky. on Thursday evening March 26, 2015.
It was a cool evening as a hardy group of supporters met in front of the OOIDA stage. The thought of cancelling the 7 p.m. walk was imminent as it was still raining as late as 6:15 p.m. As she has done in the past, Mother Nature came to her senses just in time for our walk over to Churchill Downs raceway, home of the Kentucky Derby.This was the second year that the TSG and its supporters walked from the Papa John’s parking lot over to the raceway, a mere .7 miles from the lot. As we did last year, we paused for a group photo at the main entrance of the facility in front of the statue of Barbaro, the 2006 winner of the Kentucky Derby, before heading back to the Papa John’s lot.
